UPDATE: No big Powerball winners again; jackpot soars to $305 million for Aug. 15Tonight's top jackpot prize is valued at $253 million or about $170 million for players who chose the cash option because no lottery players have matched all the winning numbers during the past six weeks.

For the last drawing, Wednesday night, three tickets sold in New Jersey contained five numbers, but not the Powerball, and are worth $1 million apiece before taxes.
Tickets sold in the following states also matched five numbers: Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma and Oregon. One ticket holder in Washington, D.C., also won $1 million.
Powerball is played in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania, along with 40 other states, the District of Columbia and the Virgin Islands.
