Hot! Derrick Williams Signs With Steelers; Michael Robinson To Pro Bowl

One former Penn State player will be headed back to Pennsylvania, and another will be headed to the Pro Bowl.

Michael Robinson , the former quarterback who led the Nittany Lions to an 11-1 record in 2005, learned Thursday that he will be replacing injured Green Bay fullback John Kuhn at the 2012 Pro Bowl.

Robinson was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the fourth round of the 2006 draft as a fullback because of his body size and athleticism. Robinson was traded in 2010 to the Seattle Seahawks and has helped running back Marshawn Lynch become Seattle's first 1,000-yard back since 2005.

"God is good.. thank u all 4 the love and support just signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers," Williams tweeted.

Williams, drafted in the third round of the 2009 draft by the Detroit Lions, saw limited playing time and was eventually released in September 2011. The move will put the Washington, D.C., native closer to home and in the company of many of the fans who had rooted for him while he was at Penn State.
