Well Lamar Odom was unhappy with the Lakers trade rumors that had him as part of a deal for Chris Paul so he asked to be traded and got his wish as he was sent with second round picks in 2012 and 2013 to the Dallas Mavericks for their $8.9 million trade exception and a first round pick. This seems to be a good trade for the Lakers as much as we have valued Odom as a Laker as was now unhappy and we get that trade exception which can help in going for the big Superman prize of Dwight Howard. Hopefully nobody else on the roster gets offended in hearing their name as part of Lakers trade rumors in the coming days becuase probably everyone but Kobe will come up in the press. You have to see some of the early reports from Lakers players not completely pleased with the developments, does this hurt our chances with other players. What is your take, was it worth it to trade Odom when we really didn't get that much back let us know in the comments.
Also watch the video breaking down the Lakers trade of Odom and what could happen now.
