Katie Werner, Xavier College Prep (Phoenix):Watching a prospect play for her club and high school team provides a different lens to evaluate both her skill set and her playing ability. Such was the case in our evaluation of Werner. For her GSB club team, she's a solid piece on a roster that has multiple Division I prospects. When she suits up for Xavier Prep, the 6-foot-1 junior forward is a focal point of the offensive scheme and brings real versatility to the forward position. On Wednesday, Werner scored on mid-range jumpers, offensive put-backs, transition layups at the rim and from the free-throw line. Her biggest gift right now is her willingness to do whatever is needed to get the job done. She rebounded on both ends all the while defending on the wing in the 2-3 zone to make quality shots hard to come by for her opponent.Brandon Clay
Hannah Johnson , Bishop Alemany (Mission Hills, Calif.):Another great part of seeing players in both the club and high school setting is seeing how they adapt to playing different positions. After playing quite a bit on the perimeter this summer, the 6-1 sophomore showed a ton of progress in the paint. Johnson still pops out and is able to play outside and be effective. But her team needs a post presence, and her strength allows her to have a power game on the blocks. She works hard for position, even if she doesn't get the ball on the first reversal. She drew several fouls by initiating contact and attacking through to the glass. She stepped out and hit some jumpers as well. It really looks as if she could evolve into a dangerous four-player at the college level. At the forward spot, her handle, range and mobility will be really tough to match up with. Putting her on the wing exclusively and taking away what is an emerging inside game would be a mistake that would limit her impact. Chris Hansen
Hannah Schaible , Dr. Phillips (Orlando, Fla.):This 5-9 guard has a great sense of the game, and she plays with passion on both ends of floor. Schaible has an old-school-looking shot and she can hit 3-pointers with consistency. Although she shoots the ball very well, she is more than just a shooter. She can find gaps and penetrate to the rim as well. She has a very calm demeanor to her game, but you will always find her in the middle of a jump-ball situation. Schaible is a hustle player on both ends of the floor, and she will make a defensive play on one end, and turn it into points for herself or a teammate on the other. Her unselfish mentality is one thing that really benefits her team she doesn't mind doing all the little things in order to win.Rebecca Gray
Marijke Vanderschaaf, Eastlake (Sammamish, Wash.):This 6-3 sophomore post plays with UC-Santa Barbara commit Kendra Morrison , and some of Morrison's blue-collar style is wearing off on this youngster. As you expect from a player of her size, she has length to block and bother shots. We know posts usually need a little more time to develop, so you look for the work ethic and balance, both of which are there with Vanderschaaf. She's mobile and really works to move her feet on the defensive end. She's not a burner or going to be mistaken for an elite athlete, but the pieces are there for her to become a really solid college post. She pursues rebounds with authority. Her build is lean, but don't mistake that for weak. As she gains strength, her rebounding and finishing in traffic will only get better. Chris Hansen
Kendall Waters and Oderah Chidom . Both players rose to the occasion and finished plays off Bostick's passes as they cruised to victory over Bishop Gorman during the third day of competition.Keil Moore
